About Our Founder
Milstaf Headquarters at Fort Stewart, Georgia, the largest active-duty US Army Base on the Eastern Seaboard, our journey is deeply rooted in the spirit of resilience, determination, and service. Founded by Brian A. Jacobs Sr., our story is one of perseverance, fueled by the relentless pursuit of excellence and the unwavering commitment to making a difference. With over 20 years of service and retired honorably from the military.
He grew up in St. Vincent and the Grenadines before his family immigrated to the United States when he was just thirteen years old. Our founder learned the value of hard work and perseverance from an early age. With limited resources but boundless ambition, he pursued higher education, driven by a desire to create a better future for himself and his family.
His journey is a testament to the American dream. After graduating from college, he answered the call to serve in the US Armed Forces and enlisted in the US Army. For years, he dedicated himself to the noble mission of safeguarding our nation’s freedoms, serving with honor and distinction.
But his journey didn’t end there. Following his military service, Brian embarked on a new mission: to empower his fellow veterans and help them navigate the often challenging transition to civilian life. Drawing on his own experiences and struggles, he understood the unique challenges faced by veterans seeking to build new careers outside the military.
With a background of over 30 years in real estate and finance he has a passion for helping others, Brian set out to create Milstaf – a platform dedicated to connecting veterans, military contractors & military service members with meaningful civilian employment opportunities. As a former master badge military recruiter and retention supervisor, he understands the value of matching veterans with military friendly employers who recognize and appreciate their unique skills, talents, and experiences.
